Kol & Rebekah
...Because they have typical brother-sister bond.
Kol and Rebekah act like twins. There is just something about the way they behave together. Certain gestures exchanged between them. The way they speak with each other and the way they move around each other. It’s almost like they mirror one another perfectly.
He constantly calls her pet names like ‘baby sister’ and ‘little one’ to antagonize her but also because she’s so dear to him.As we’ve seen in their episodes together they bicker constantly and they always have. They are two parts of a whole. Complete opposites. This would mean they fit together like no other but also that they drive each other crazy like no other.
Kol is probably intensely protective of Rebekah. As we’ve seen Kol has the tendency to be abrupt and sarcastic as opposed to actually talking things out. he’s always had issues with understanding and/or expressing the way he feels. As a vampire this was probably magnified. His slightly emotionally stunted nature along with his impulsivity and bloodlust is probably why his first reaction upon turning was to flee. It would explain the reason why he’d leave Rebekah although he most likely asked her to go with him.
